Biography

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Cognitive Science at the University of Osnabrück. I am the Virtual Reality laboratory manager and have research mainly on Human-Machine Interaction in the context of trust in the usability of state-of-the-art self-driving cars.

I have mainly focused on human trust in AI using technology acceptance questionnaires and behavioral data such as eye-tracking.

Accomplish­ments

Creating Project Westdrive LoopAR
Creating Project Westdrive LoopAR by initiating the idea with a team of 12 HiWi gathering 200 participants behavioral, driving (Using forcefeedback steering wheels), eye and head movement using VR reality and custom made simulator. The project is no further used by five new Ph.D. students to conduct their research. During the course of developing the project 5. theses icluding 3 bachelor and 2 master theses has been successfuly supervised by my colleage Maximilian A. Wächter and me on this project, from which one has been awarded the prise for the best thesis work of 2020 in Niedersachsen by Lea Kühne.
Creating Project Westdrive
Creating Project Westdrive and successfully deploying a self sustaining experiment which was coducted inside ship-exhibition MS-Wissenschaft and entrance of German ministry of education and science for the entirety of exhibition, managing a team of 5. The experiment successfully gathered 21000 behavioral and 8000 questionnaire data
